Meadowlark
Model A Ford Club

Meetings

Monthly meetings are held on the second Saturday of each month.  Our meeting place is the Lower Level of the Elks Lodge at 6410 S 96th Omaha. See our current newsletter (under the Newsletters button) for any meeting time or place changes.

Our monthly meetings feature lots of fun and companionship, tech talks on all the intricacies of the Model A, and special ladies’ activities for those who don’t need to know so much about the inner workings.

In January, an annual meeting is held to install officers. Because this meeting is a dinner meeting, its location varies yearly.

Shows and Tours

We have one main car show each year typically in May called Skills & Grilles at Gretna High.

Registration is typically from 9:00 am – 11:00 am with awards at 2:00 pm Registration costs $15 for Car, Truck, and Tractor Classes or $5 for High School Classes.

All Makes and Models are welcome. The trophies are created by and judged by Gretna SkillsUSA Students with portions of all fees going to Gretna SkillsUSA.

Additionally about once a month we have a car show at one of the Senior Living Communities. These are generally free to enter, and the people enjoy the cars and pickups we bring.

Other Events

In addition to meetings, we have many events throughout the year. These include Tech Talks at member garages, “eat-outs” at local restaurants, tours to local places of interest, and picnics.

We also participate in yearly Regional Meets with other clubs in the Midwest area. We host this Meet approximately every 8 years.

During the winter months, when we don’t drive Model A’s much in Nebraska, we like to have events such as Bunco parties, Soup cook offs, and visit indoor places of interest.

If that is not enough, we also attend many parades and events sponsored by other clubs and organizations in the area.
