The first Soir\u00e9e of the year should be of interest to everyone who owns a Model A and enjoys driving it. Eventually, you might find a gear-lube leak on the lower area of the rear backing plate, This leak can also give the brake area inside a real oil bath. What\u2019s happening here is the rear axle seal is worn out and letting gear lube leak along the axel shaft. Originally, these seals had a leather-type seal that surrounded the axel. After ninety-some years, the leather has gotten worn out, losing its sealing power. If the fluid level gets increased, the leak gets worse.
At this Soir\u00e9e we will replace the leaky seals. To do this, we will disassemble the rear-end, remove the old seals, and install new seals. Also, it\u2019s important to know where to grease the zerk fittings to help the seals do their job. We\u2019ll discuss a few do\u2019s and don\u2019ts along the way. Starting at 6:30PM in the Lower Level of the Elks Lodge 6410 S 96th ST. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We start gathering and setting up chairs and tables at 6PM so feel free to come and help!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please park in front and go down the stairs inside the front door. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

April 18 – This Year’s First Retirement Home Car Show-Connect55+<\/summary>\n

Plan to join us for our first Retirement Home Car Show of the year which will be on April 18th at Connect55+ from 10 am to Noon.
The address is: 7205 N 73rd Plaza Circle, Omaha, NE 68122, which on the west side of 72nd Street at Girard Street, just north of CHI Immanuel Hospital.

April 19 – Highway Pickup – note this is a Sunday <\/summary>\n
\n

April 19th 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Board has decided that the April calendar is so full that they are planning on doing the Highway Pickup on Highway 36 on Sunday the 19th. I know that this is going to affect some members as it is Sunday and a day many of us spend a portion of in our church. I will not skip church that day but will be going to an evening service.
I sincerely hope that many of you have the same opportunity! Supporting the State and our commitment is also important, I hope that I will still get at least 12 members to come out and make short work of policing up our 2-mile section of highway36. A little walk in the fresh air will also help us to get over that little extra food we enjoyed over Easter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As always, we will meet at Cubby\u2019s at 156th and Highway 36 at 10:0 am, and carpool from there to the highway pickup site. There will be a signup sheet at the April meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please call me at 402-333-1393 to sign up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

TROLLS: Save the Humans, an outdoor exhibit by acclaimed artist Thomas Dambo,
at Lauritzen Gardens. Crafted from reclaimed wood and full of wild wisdom, these
six towering trolls are on a mission to help humans rediscover their connection to
nature. Explore the gardens and meet these gentle giants \u2014 each with a story and
a whole lot of personality. Plan for 1.5-2 hours of walking around the gardens.
Afterward, we\u2019ll decide if anyone wants to grab a bite to eat in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
